I was sent some tasty goods from The Polish Bakery to try who doesn’t love coming home to a package full of food?
A little history…
Having been established in 2003 in the Wembley, North West London, The Polish Bakery, specialise in bread, rolls, doughnuts, and buns and best of all… CAKES. They are the oldest Polish bakery in the UK and have a strong focus on quality, a family work ethic and putting heart and soul into every product. If that doesn’t sound like something worth experiencing, what does?
I’ve never actually tried Polish food before and I love taking myself out of my comfort zone. Not only that, when I thought about what a Polish bakery might offer, I found myself drooling over my keyboard from the images of the doughnuts, pastries and cakes.
Bread… a whole meal?
Who knew there so many different types of bread? It’s actually fascinating thinking there is a world outside your usual Hovis loaf. Bread seems to be one of the staple foods in any European’s diet and depending on where you visit, they each have different recipes and unique qualities.
The Polish Bakery has a ton of bread options and I was surprised I found myself really enjoying the one that had prunes in it. Who would have thought? It was moist, spongey and tasted nice toasted or cold with a slither of butter.
The Rye Bread with Prunes has a ton of benefits which were unbeknownst to me… It’s a good source of energy, made from natural ingredients and regulates food intake making you feel fuller for longer. I think I will be reaching for this more and more to stop my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacking!
Here is bread, which strengthens man’s heart,And therefore is called the staff of life.– Matthew Henry

Cheesecake
I love cheesecake and this one was a huge slab of Vienna cheesecake which I had to share because I would have regretted eating the whole thing. It was rich without being too overpowering and pretty much as perfect as you can get.
Perfect for indulging infront of the laptop…
As a travel blogger, the best way to get a little taste of somewhere new is by eating. If you cannot afford to book a holiday, wonder in your local supermarket, and taste a new world without getting on a plane. Just make sure to pay for it! On the subject of the supermarket, you can find all these delicious Polish Bakery goodies at your local Waitrose, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Don’t forget to check out all The Polish Bakery has to offer here.
Have you tried anything from The Polish Bakery before?

Despite being halfway through the Christmas binge, you’ve managed to make me hungry! Where I live we have a large Polish population, which means we’re lucky enough to have loads of Polish shops and I’ve discovered LOADS of tasty treats and everyday food from just popping in from time to time. I’d love to visit The Polish Bakery though, I’ve had the bread before from Asda but that cheesecake looks heavenly.
