Musings: Why It’s Okay to Complain

I met up with a dear friend of mine the other week for dinner and she apologised a few times as she wasn’t haven’t a good day due to the imbeciles in her professional life. That got me thinking. It’s absolutely okay to complain, it’s absolutely okay to be miserable and it’s absolutely okay to be negative, SOMETIMES.

If you’re happy 24/7/365, I would have to suspect you of being an alien because if nothing riles you up, then you must be a blank slate unaffected by anything. *pokes with stick*

It’s okay to complain because humans are irritating.

It’s okay to complain because sometimes you just need to vent.

It’s okay to complain because society is a mess. *I blame the person that name rhymes with Ronald Rump*

It’s okay to complain because if everyone did what they said they would do the world would implode.

It’s okay to complain because some people just need to be told. *shade thrown*

It’s okay to complain because if your food is bad in a restaurant, are you happily gonna sit there and then pay for it? NO.

It’s okay to complain because if we held the ’stiff upper lip’ attitude, nothing would change.

It’s okay to complain because it gives your perspective. Hindsight is a beautiful thing.

Anyway, it’s okay to complain SOMETIMES. Turn it into something constructive, have an action plan and live your best life.

  1. I agree with this and how you added “sometimes.” I don’t want to be negative all the time or be around someone who constantly complains without taking action. I agree that life can be overwhelming and sometimes you have to vent and talk it out to get some perspective on things. Good read!
