So, for this blog post, in true memoir style, I am going to take a trip down memory lane. I look back on some of these trends and cringe. But now, I tend to go for minimalism as well frankly, colours scare me. Going back through my photos for this post was a stark reminder that no matter what you wear, it was what you wanted at the time… No regrets right?
FASHION
Take a bow…
I blame Blair Waldorf for this one but for some reason I wanted to live out my Gossip Girl fantasy by wearing bows all the time. I don’t think I quite had the refined edge to go along with these and I’ll let these photos do the talking:

The bigger the hoop, the bigger the heart.
Paul’s Boutique Bags
Thankfully I have no photos of me and my ‘I HEART PB’ bag but I do have this tweet:
For some reason I used to think i was the absolute sh*t when I rocked up to uni with my Ugg boots, Starbucks coffee cup and Paul’s Boutique bag. Who is Paul anyway?
Skulls
The irony is that I have a skull tattoo stuck on my foot for the rest of my life. I don’t hate skulls but I do wonder ‘what was I thinking?’. I remember having skull earrings, necklaces, rings, shoes, the list goes on. These days I’m more in the land of the living.
NEON
I think I have deleted every photo relating to my ‘NU RAVE’ phase but I find it hard to believe I went through a bright colour phase. Me and colour these days just don’t get on and I find myself immersing my body in blacks, greys and navy. Basically, I will wear black until they make a darker colour.

MAKE UP
Nail it
I was really into nail art at one point and I even considered doing a nail course. Funny enough this probably highlights something about my personality, getting obsessed with something, getting over it and remembering it as a long forgotten dream.
I’m sure I had every colour Barry M Dazzle Dust and I remember buying 2True make up in Superdrug every week with my EMA. If you don’t remember EMA, you are young. I remember piling on ALL THE EYESHADOW and walking around like LA Pride. Nowadays, I prefer all things nudes (not taking them, wearing them, get your mind out the gutter).

Gelling down my entire forehead, my hopes, my wishes and my dreams…
Emo emo emo
Enter Shikari, Hadouken, Kids in Glass Houses, Three Days Grace, Panic! At The Disco were all that infiltrated my iPod shuffle at one point and tbh I don’t know what I was thinking or going through. R&B and Pop will always be my one true love and I’ll bring out the Rock for those days I need a little nostalgia.
